Finding Jenny by Studio Rosey Posey

I haven't scrapped in a while - I've been in kind of a bummer mood lately and it drains me of my creativity. But I was really excited to play with this new kit by Studio Rosey Posey called Finding Jenny. She based it off of the movie Forrest Gump and it is packed full of fabulousness. I used it to scrap a pic of me and my Grandma and Dad. It's always fun to get a picture with 3 generations!

About You by Studio Rosey Posey

It's been a little while since I created a layout without using a template. I love templates. They take less effort which is useful when you have a 3 year old! But this time I decided I would challenge myself a bit and create a layout where the sketch is all my own. I used About You by Studio Rosey Posey. Her kits make it easy to put a layout together. My favorite part of the kit is the wing stamp. I think it really made my layout pop! But the best part is my little one's cute face. Why can't they stay little forever? I love that baby face!

The collection also includes four layered templates! They are perfect for clustering and layering. I love me a good template!! You can also purchase the kit and templates separately in Studio Rosey Posey's store at Scrapbookgraphics.

Songbird Waterfall Hybrid Card

I haven't made any hybrids for a while so I'm excited to show off a fun hybrid card I just made! The hybrid template I used is by Wendybird Designs called Waterfall Vol. 1: Square. I don't know how she comes up with all these ideas, but they are fabulous! When you pull on the string it shows off all the different little pictures on each of the squares and then reveals the longest part where you can put a cute sentiment. It's such a fun and unique card template! The kit I used is called Songbird by Studio Rosey Posey, Studio Boutique Cute Doll and Studio Thaty. I also used the Add-on Papers and Extras. Isn't it an adorable kit? I love the color scheme and all of the cute birdies! My favorite is the chubby yellow one in the Extras! So cute! And since I was going with the songbird theme I used the quote "A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song." I ended up sending it to my sister. I hope it brightens her day! :)

Violet by Studio Rosey Posey and a Facebook Freebie!

This beautiful new kit is called Violet by Studio Rosey Posey. I love the gorgeous flowers and touches of pink. I love pink. And since I have a boy who is the main person I scrap about, he sometimes gets scrapped in pink! He may look at this when he is older and think it is girly, but I love how it turned out! :) Apparently I did something right, because it was chosen as Layout of the Day at Brownie Scraps. Thanks Shelly! :) You made my day!

Easter is Almost Here!

Can you believe it? It seems like we just finished up Christmas and now it's almost Easter! Where does the time go? I am really excited for Easter this year! My little boy is getting old enough to do fun activities and he is also getting old enough to start to understand what Easter is really all about; our Savior's resurrection!

Studio Rosey Posey released this new kit today called Happy Easter! It is full of fun Easter themed elements and lots of beautiful springy flowers! Plus there are 4 different alphas to mix and match for fun titles! I used this kit to create another layout of our egg coloring adventures last year! The nice thing about being on creative teams is that designers release their holiday kits before the holidays, so I always scrap pictures from the year before! lol! Not the best way to do it, but it works for me! :) I also used a template by Rosey Posey that she will be releasing in her store soon! It's called Tell a Tale Template 01. I love to journal so this is a great template to tell a story with! Happy Easter is currently 20% off! Make sure you sign up for Studio Rosey Posey's newsletter for more coupons and freebies! Hybrid Tic-Tac Holder

I have a fun hybrid project to show off today! It's a cute little Tic-Tac Holder! My little one loves Tic-Tac's so I always carry them in my purse! I used Studio Rosey Posey's Dazzling Mini Kit and a hybrid template from Thunderdragon from The March Scrapbookgraphic's Hybrid Challenge! Tanja (Thunderdragon) always gives away the cutest hybrid templates every single month! You might even be able to still grab the Tic-Tac template from March. Click here to see if it is still available! I thought the textured papers from Rosey Posey's Dazzling kit looked so cute on my little holder! I posted my project in the Hybrid Challenge Thread at Scrapbookgraphic's and my name was chosen to win a $10 gift certificate good for any Studio Collectives kit! I was so excited! I used it to pick up this fun kit! I'm still smiling! :)

Feather Friend by Studio Rosey Posey

I have another cute mini from Studio Rosey Posey to show you! It's called Feather Friend and it is full of adorable little birds and artsy elements! The other day I was watching an episode of Special Agent Oso with my son where they showed how to make bird feeders out of pine cones, peanut butter and bird seed. This really intrigued my son so we decided to make some bird feeders! I remember doing this when I was little and it was so fun! My little boy loved it! So now they are hanging on a branch on a tree in our backyard. I don't think we have had a single bird come and eat off of it (maybe it's because we're in the desert?) but it sure looks cute! This was the perfect kit to scrap a layout of our bird feeder making adventure!

Inner Artiste By Studio Rosey Posey

My little one is really into art so I love this mini by Studio Rosey Posey called Inner Artiste. It can be used for artsy layouts or even everyday layouts. I used it to create a layout of one of my little one's newest masterpieces. He asks me every single day if he can paint or cut and glue! I love that he is so creative! Make sure you check out Rosey Posey's Digital Scrapbooking Freebies page! She has some fun freebies to add to your collection!! I especially love the Row House! It's so chic! :)

Blended Templates Bundle 04 by Studio Rosey Posey

I love the look of blended photos, but I can't ever seem to get my blending to look just right! So I love these new Blended Templates by Studio Rosey Posey! They are all gorgeous and make creating a layout so easy! I love how the main focus is on the photos and not all the little elements! Each template is a combination of a mini kit and a template in one. You can either just add your pictures and journaling and be done or use the templates with a completely different kit since they are all in psd format! Either way you'll end up with a gorgeous layout! For my first layout I used template 17 and then used some elements from Discovery of The Heart. I thought the ribbon in that kit matched well with his shirt! And lucky me, that layout was chosen as Layout of The Day at Brownie Scraps! Yay! Thanks Shelly! For my second layout I documented another trip to art class with Being Me by Studio Rosey Posey and Studio Tangie. Gotta document those fun pinwheels! :) I think it turned out cute! :)

Today by Studio Rosey Posey and 2 Freebie Finds!

Spring has finally arrived! Today it was 79 degrees here in sunny Las Vegas, NV! It is really windy in Las Vegas though so it didn't quite feel that warm, but it was still a beautiful day! We even saw "popcorn" on some of the trees! I just love it when the blossoms start blooming! It makes me happy! I have a fun kit to share with you from Studio Rosey Posey called Today. The flowers in it are gorgeous and it made me even more excited for spring! I used it to create a layout of one of our first family pictures! My friend took them at a beautiful park in Coppell, TX! Looking at this picture makes me miss two things: Texas and my little boy being little! I love watching him grow, but I miss him being so cute and tiny! He's still cute, but not tiny anymore!! lol!

I also used this kit to make a little hybrid box for the Scrapbookgraphics March Hybrid Challenge. Tanja (thunderdragon) does such a great job with this challenge every month! Right now you can get the template for this cute box for FREE! :) Click here to head on over to Scrapbookgraphics and pick it up!

You can also get a FREE mini kit from Studio Rosey Posey by "liking" her Facebook Page! You can "Like" her page here and it will give you the code to get the kit for free!

Being Me - An Art Journal Collaboration Extraodinaire!

I am so excited to show to you this fabulous art journal kit by Studio Tangie and Studio Rosey Posey called Being Me! I consider myself a traditional scrapbooker, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate and see beauty in all types of scrapbooking! If you are like me, you might not know exactly what Art Journaling is! So I'm going to share with you a definition I found on about.com:

What is Art Journaling?

An art journal is a visual journal or diary, rather than a traditional diary or journal filled only with words. It’s a place where you give physical form to your thoughts, expectations and dreams, realities and events, everyday events and exceptional occasions. While an art journal can/does include memories, it’s not limited to these; it’s also about personal reflections, philosophies or observations. It’s for all sides of yourself, from expressing the childlike aspects of yourself that ‘responsible adults’ may scorn, to your darkest side and secrets. It’s for when you’re at home and when you’re traveling.

Whether you create the art or visuals in response to something you want to journal, or whether you use art as a starting point, doesn’t matter. Anything and everything goes: painting, drawing, pen and ink, doodling and noodling, stamping, photos, and collage.

An art journal is somewhere to save ideas, while a scrapbook is somewhere to save memories. A scrapbook is the intended end result, whereas an art journal is just a step on the path of creation. An art journal is a time capsule of your creativity.

So there you have it! Now you know what Art Journaling is!! I love the last part that says "An art journal is a time capsule of your creativity!" Sounds kind of romantic! I must take the plunge and try art journaling for myself! It sounds fabulous!! I already have ideas in my head of what I want to try! But for now, you get to see the traditional layout I created about the art class my DS and I just started! It's a Mommy and Me class and we both had such a great time! I love that he already loves art! His eyes just light up when he has a paintbrush or scissors in his hands! He must get that from me! (The scissors part anyways!)

If you want to see some fab layouts and awesome examples of Art Journaling, visit Studio Tangie's Gallery over at Scrapbookgraphics or her blog!

Blended Templates by Studio Rosey Posey

Photographs by Jonathan Canlas Photography.
I've always loved the look of blended photos in layouts. It's a really unique way to show off your photos! These Blended Templates by Studio Rosey Posey are a combination of a blended template and a mini kit all in one! You can move the elements around, change the shadowing and then add your own title and journaling. I used template 04 to create a wedding layout of my DH and I. All I did was change the journaling and add my photos and I must say that I love the results! Easy peasy!

I'm lovin' this Sugary, Sweet & Shabby Mash-Up Grab Bag by Studio Rosey Posey, Studio Dawn Inskip, Studio Flergs and Studio Gypsy! It's everything they say it is - sugary, sweet and shabby! All of the papers are absolutely to die for! With so many fun textures and patterns, I just knew I had to use this kit for a hybrid project! So I did! I saw this Corner Bookmark Template in the Hybrid Challenge this month at Scrapbookgraphics and decided to participate! Isn't it so cute? I have never even seen a corner bookmark before, but I think it's genius!
