Look For Rainbows Bookmark Freebie!

Angie from Down This Road Designs created these adorable LDS Baptism themed kits called Look For Rainbows! The name was inspired by the LDS Primary song When I am Baptized. If you click on the link you can actually download the sheet music for free! I love that she made a boy version and a girl version of the kit. And even though these kits are LDS Baptism themed, you can use them for lots of other types of layouts! They are also great for other non-LDS Baptism photos! I used the boy kit to create a layout of my little one flying his new kite! Doesn't the picture in my layout make you excited it's spring? (Sorry if spring hasn't quite made it to where you live yet!) I used the girl version to create a hybrid bookmark that states The Fourth Article of Faith from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am offering it up as a freebie to y'all! Just download, print it out, cut, glue and add your own ribbon! I used some ribbon from the dollar bin at Target! I hope you enjoy it! You can download it for free by clicking on the photo of the bookmark or clicking HERE. Angie also has lots of other LDS themed kits that you can view in her store at Brownie Scraps. Or you can click HERE to view more layouts and hybrids I have created with her kits!

It's a Guy Thing!

Sometimes it can be so hard to find cute boy kits, so I was really excited about this new collaboration kit called It's a Guy Thing by Down This Road Designs and Scraps by Mara! It has so many fun boy elements in it and the color scheme is perfect! Since I am on Down This Road Designs' Hybrid Team I made a cute pop up card! My favorite elements in this kit are the frog and the little bug so I had to add them to my card! Isn't that little froggy adorable? When I showed my little boy he said, "Oh that is beautiful Mommy! I really like it!" lol! I don't know about "beautiful" but I think it turned out pretty cute! :)

Best Wishes by Down This Road Designs

I have been making a lot of hybrid projects lately! I love hybrid because I can create on the computer and then have a physical project too! Sometimes the mess of cutting with scissors can be so fun! (Well, I am a hairdresser, so I do love my scissors!!) I created these two fun hybrids with a new kit by Down This Road Designs called Best Wishes. The color scheme is to die for and the shabby feel is just fabulous! I found this tutorial on Paper Roses by ScrappyCath and I decided I had to make some roses! The shabby papers in this kit just looked like they needed to be made into roses! lol! Aren't they pretty? I had so much fun making them! I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with them - I will eventually use them to decorate something - but for now they are sitting on the shelf of my computer desk and every time I look at them they make me smile. I think that is a perfect use for them! :) Even my husband was impressed with the flowers. So thanks ScrappyCath for your awesome tutorial! My now beautified Computer Desk thanks you too! lol!

The next project I made is a fun card using a template from the "It's In The Cards Challenge" at Scrapmatters. Twice a month they have a hybrid card challenge and give out a FREE template! The one I used for this card is by Deb. Don't you just adore the tan paper with the light blue flowers? I'm not a big fan of wallpaper - but I could definitely see myself wallpapering a bathroom with it! lol! Seriously, I love it! :) The flowers in this kit are really beautiful too! Angie did a great job! Best Wishes is currently on sale for 25% off making it a super scraptastic deal!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you all have a wonderful day full of chocolate and flowers! I have two really fun Valentine's day kits to get you in the mood for love! :)

The first one is called My Heart by JennCk Designs. I love the color scheme and of course all of the fun flowers! Jenn also made some of her fabulous templates to match with the kit. If you are a follower of my blog, you know I heart Jenn's templates! :) My little one was born two days before Valentine's Day so I had to scrap a picture of my most favorite Valentine ever with this kit! Isn't he so cute and adorable? I was lucky enough to win LOTD at Brownie Scraps for my layout! Thanks Natalee! I also used this kit to make another Corner Bookmark! Isn't it darling? Go here to read how you can get the Template for the bookmark for free! Jenn made this kit for Grab-A-Byte at Scrapbook-bytes, so for a limited time you can get the Elements, Patterned Papers, Textured Solids, and the Template Pack for $1 each! Treat yourself to a Valentine present and grab them while they are on sale! :)

The next kit is called Sweet Nothings by Down This Road Designs. To say that I love Chocolate would be an understatement, so let's just say that I found this kit to be very "sweet!" :) Wendy from Wendybird Designs created the cutest card template for the Brownie Scraps Hybrid Challenge. When I saw this kit and the card template, I couldn't wait to use them both together! I think the card turned out so cute! Isn't the little cupcake adorable? Yum! Makes me hungry! lol! In the month of February, you can pick up Wendy's Heart Gate Fold Card Template for FREE in the Brownie Scraps Forum! Make sure you thank her for the fun template, and then head on over to Angie's shop and pick up Sweet Nothings and make yourself a fun card! :)

Precious Values by Down This Road Designs

I am absolutely in love with this new kit by Down This Road Designs! It's called Precious Values and is based around the 8 Values from the Young Women's Program from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice & Accountability, Good Works, Integrity and Virtue. When I was working with this kit I kept thinking about all of the different types of layouts I could create with it! Because the color scheme is so broad you can use it to scrap an array of photos. I even used it with pictures of my little boy! I also made a fun hybrid with a purse template by WendyBird Designs. You can actually get this template for free during the month of January! Just go to the Brownie Scraps January Hybrid Challenge to Download the template for free!! And if you want another fun freebie, head over to Angie's Blog (Down This Road Designs) to download a 4x2 Printable Young Women's Theme! This would be awesome to give to your Young Woman as a book mark or a class handout!

Autumn Memories by Scrappin' Daisies Designs

Template by Down This Road Designs.
I seriously can't believe that it's already November! Where does the time go? Before I know it, it will be 2011! It just seems so weird that it's almost 2011! That year just seems so far away, but really it's just around the corner! Eeek! I have a fun fall kit to show to you today! It's called Autumn Memories by Scrappin' Daisies Designs. I love all the realistic looking leaves and the warm fall colors! I used it to scrap a picture of me and my DS going to the Pumpkin Patch! To me, that is one of the best Autumn Memories out there! :) I also used a template from Down This Road Designs that is FREE in the month of November for the November Semi-Homemade Challenge at Brownie Scraps! You can download it in The Brownie Scraps Forum here. I hope y'all have a fabulous fall day!

Hybrid Gift Card Holder

How cute is this little gift card holder? I got the idea from the May Hybrid Challenge at Brownie Scraps. You can go to the Brownie Scraps forum HERE and download a free pre-made gift card holder (like the one in the instructions photo) and put it together yourself! It's so easy! You just print and cut out the pre-made template and then glue it to an empty toilet paper roll that's been folded in half! Perfect for all those graduation gift cards you're going to be handing out soon! If you make one, be sure to upload it to the Brownie Scraps Hybrid Challenge Gallery so we can leave you some love!! Missionary Memories & Make It: CD/DVD Album

For all you LDS scrappers out there, you are going to LOVE these two new kits by Down This Road Designs!! My little brother just received his Mission Call to serve in the Indiana Indianapolis Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I made this cute CD album for my Mom to store some of her notes and thoughts while he is gone for the next two years. I used Missionary Memories: Elder by Down This Road Designs and Make It: CD/DVD Album by Krisi's Kreations. I think it turned out super cute if I don't say so myself! lol!

My cute cousin was also called to serve a mission for the LDS Church in Rochester, New York! So I had to make a little page of her using Missionary Memories: Sister by Down This Road Designs. I also made a fun little card with the kit that was inspired by a cute handmade card my sister Mindy sent me! I'm really getting into doing hybrid scrapbooking! It's so much fun!
